Trading Calculators

Forty-six free calculators for options payoffs, position sizing and trading risk. Every one runs entirely in your browser — no account, no broker connection, and nothing you type is sent anywhere.

Options payoff calculators

Twenty-two strategy pages sharing one expiration-payoff engine. Each draws the profit and loss curve, marks every breakeven, and states maximum profit and maximum loss — including when that maximum is unlimited, which is the number most worth checking before placing the trade.

Options Profit CalculatorEnter your legs and an underlying price, and this calculator draws the exact profit and loss of the position at expiration: green above breakeven, red below, with max profit, max loss and every breakeven marked. Multi-Leg Options CalculatorStack as many legs as the position needs and this calculator combines them into one payoff line: total max profit, total max loss, and every breakeven the combined structure produces. Long Call CalculatorA long call breaks even at the strike plus the premium you paid, loses the whole premium below the strike, and gains dollar-for-dollar above breakeven. Long Put CalculatorA long put breaks even at the strike minus the premium paid, costs you the full premium anywhere above the strike, and gains as the underlying falls — capped only by the stock reaching zero. Covered Call CalculatorA covered call pays you a premium now in exchange for capping your upside at the strike. Cash-Secured Put CalculatorSelling a cash-secured put pays you a premium to agree to buy 100 shares at the strike. Protective Put CalculatorA protective put puts a hard floor under shares you already own, at the cost of the premium. Bull Call Spread CalculatorA bull call spread buys one call and sells a higher one, cutting the cost of a long call in exchange for a capped gain. Bear Call Spread CalculatorA bear call spread sells a call and buys a higher one for protection, collecting a credit that is also your maximum profit. Bull Put Spread CalculatorA bull put spread sells a put and buys a lower one, collecting a credit that is your maximum profit while the long leg caps the downside. Bear Put Spread CalculatorA bear put spread buys a put and sells a lower one, cutting the cost of a long put in exchange for a capped gain. Iron Condor CalculatorAn iron condor sells a put spread and a call spread around the current price, paying you a credit if the underlying stays between the short strikes. Iron Butterfly CalculatorAn iron butterfly sells a straddle at the money and buys wings for protection. Long Straddle CalculatorA long straddle buys a call and a put at the same strike, profiting on a large move in either direction. Short Straddle CalculatorA short straddle sells a call and a put at the same strike, collecting both premiums and profiting if the underlying barely moves. Long Strangle CalculatorA long strangle buys an out-of-the-money call and put, costing less than a straddle but needing a bigger move. Short Strangle CalculatorA short strangle sells an out-of-the-money call and put, keeping the full credit if the underlying stays between the strikes. Butterfly Spread CalculatorA long butterfly buys one lower strike, sells two middle strikes and buys one upper, for a small debit and a sharp profit peak at the middle strike. Covered Strangle CalculatorA covered strangle holds shares, sells a call against them and sells a put on top. Call Ratio Spread CalculatorA call ratio spread buys one call and sells two or more higher calls, often for a credit. Put Ratio Spread CalculatorA put ratio spread buys one put and sells two or more lower puts. Collar CalculatorA collar holds shares, buys a put for a hard floor and sells a call to pay for it.

Risk, sizing and performance calculators

Twenty-four manual-input tools covering position sizing, expectancy, fees, drawdown and the arithmetic of survival. All of them run in your browser.

Stock Profit CalculatorEnter your buy price, sell price, share count and commissions, and this calculator returns the net profit after costs, the return on the capital you actually committed, and the exact price at which the trade breaks even.. Crypto Profit CalculatorCrypto exchanges charge a percentage on each side rather than a flat commission, so fees scale with position size. Stock Average CalculatorBuying more of a position changes your average cost by a weighted average, not a simple midpoint. Position Size CalculatorPosition size is the output of your risk rule, not a guess. Forex Lot Size CalculatorEnter your account size, the percentage you will risk, your stop distance in pips and the pip value per standard lot, and this returns the exact lot size — standard, mini and micro — that makes the stop cost precisely your risk budget.. Pip Value CalculatorOne pip is worth a different amount on every pair and every position size. Futures Profit CalculatorFutures P&L is counted in ticks, not dollars per point. Forex Profit CalculatorEnter your entry and exit, lot size and pip value, and this returns the pips gained, the dollar result in your account currency, and what the spread cost you on the way in.. Trading Margin CalculatorMargin is the deposit your broker holds against a leveraged position. Leverage CalculatorEffective leverage is total exposure divided by equity, and it decides how large a move against you the account can survive. Compound Interest CalculatorEnter a starting balance, a contribution, a rate and a period, and this returns the final balance, how much of it you put in yourself, and how much came from compounding — the split that shows when growth starts doing the work.. Investment Return CalculatorTotal return tells you how much you made; CAGR tells you how fast. Dollar-Cost Averaging CalculatorBuying a fixed dollar amount at each price buys more units when the price is low, so your average cost lands below the simple average of the prices you paid. Trading Fee CalculatorFees look small per trade and enormous per year. Risk Reward Ratio CalculatorEnter your entry, stop and target and this returns the risk/reward ratio, the dollar risk and reward per share, and — most usefully — the win rate that ratio must beat before the strategy makes money.. Break-Even Win Rate CalculatorThe win rate you need depends on your payoff ratio and your costs. Kelly Criterion CalculatorKelly gives the fraction of capital that maximises long-run growth for a known edge. Risk of Ruin CalculatorRisk of ruin is the probability that a losing run ends your account before your edge pays out. Drawdown Recovery CalculatorA 50% loss needs a 100% gain to undo. Losing Streak CalculatorA 50% win rate over 200 trades will very probably include a run of seven or eight losses. Profit Factor CalculatorProfit factor is gross profit divided by gross loss — how many dollars you make for every dollar you lose. Trading Expectancy CalculatorExpectancy is what an average trade is worth: win rate times average win, minus loss rate times average loss. Trading Account Compounding CalculatorEnter a starting balance, a per-period return and any regular withdrawal, and this projects the account forward — showing how quickly withdrawals overtake growth when the rate assumption is optimistic.. Prop Firm Drawdown CalculatorProp firm accounts fail on breached limits, not on losing trades.

How do these calculators work?

Every calculator here is a plain static page. You type the numbers; the arithmetic runs in your browser. There is no account, no broker connection, no trade-history upload and no market-data feed — which means nothing you enter is transmitted anywhere, and every page works with the network off once loaded.

That is a deliberate limit rather than a missing feature. A calculator that needed your positions would need your account, and the whole point of these pages is that they do not.

What can a calculator not tell you?

All of these price a trade you describe. None of them can tell you whether you actually took it.

That gap is the entire problem with trading track records. Anyone can produce a screenshot of a calculator, an equity curve, or a winning position after the fact. What nobody can reconstruct afterwards is what they committed to before the outcome existed — which is the only version that carries information.

kappi closes that gap: you commit a trade before it resolves, kappi timestamps and seals it, and the record is Merkle-anchored so it cannot be edited once you know how it went. $15/month, no free tier.

Let's set some records

Broker-import journals prove what you did after the fact, from data you control. kappi timestamps what you said you would do, before you knew how it would turn out, on a record you cannot edit.
